Lord Brahma is the first of the Trimurti, the primordial architect who projects the universe from the causal waters at the dawn of every Kalpa. Born from the lotus arising from Lord Vishnu's navel, his four heads represent the four Vedas, which he constantly recites to maintain cosmic order. He is an ascetic creator, typically holding a Kamandalu (water pot), Mala (rosary), and sacred texts instead of worldly weapons.
